About this property:

Casa Espiritu is situated on southern the hillside of Zihuatanejo, offering sweeping views of all the beaches in the bay - Playa Las Gatas, Playa la Ropa, Play de la Madera, the harbour and its fishing and sailboats, and the hills to the north. You can walk down to Playa Las Gatas in 10 minutes, and Playa La Ropa in 15. Casa Espiritu is 4,500 sq ft and can accommodate up to 8 people sleeping comfortably in king size beds, and there are further sleeping options for children if necessary. The sun reaches the deck by mid-morning and remains there all day. The sunsets are truly spectacular all year round. Alternatively one couple can truly feel at home and pampered in the majestic master bedroom with its elegant Antonio Gaudi inspired bathroom, and the living areas on the main floor. From the master bedroom you can take in the magnificent views up the coastline. As the house is situated on a hillside, even on the hottest days there is usually a refreshing breeze. Each detail has been carefully designed and implemented with loving hands. The 30 ft infinity pool is part of the living area and is made of local stones to give the feeling of swimming in a natural environment. The 9 ft entrance doors open to reveal a cascading waterfall and 22ft ceilings throughout the main floor, with a spiral marble staircase leading to the upper floor. The fully functional kitchen is designed by a chef and its beautiful South American granite and the views of Zihuatanejo will inspire. Two of the three guest rooms and bathrooms overlook the bay and have private balconies. The third guest room has a self contained kitchen with separate entrance and an outside area to sit and enjoy the view. All the beds are king size and covered with hand-loomed colourful Mexican bedspreads. No expense has been spared and the original artwork includes an ornate Moroccan silver and copper door in the dining room, and eclectic pieces from around the world. All rooms have private bathroom, DVD/TV, microwave and fridge. Casa Espiritu is situated in a private secured estate with tennis courts, bike paths and an exquisite church perched on top of the hill. Take yourself on a million dollar vacation; this is one not to miss. Please call for availability and ask about the special rates for the first year. We can cater to your individual needs. Pick up at the airport, stocking the fridge upon arrival, cleaning and cooking at any time can be requested. The rates range from $2,000-$4500 US per week, depending on the season. Zihuatanejo is truly a magical place on the Pacific coastline of Mexico. It has grown from a very tiny fishing village 25 years with no roads to a town that has maintained a delightful local atmosphere, while offering all the amenities of a modern town. Situated 150 miles northwest of Acapulco, its large sheltered bay is deep enough for the occasional cruise ship and offers safe swimming and snorkelling. It is not unusual, in season, to take a boat out of the bay and catch up with whales along the way. Its latitude (1,380 miles nearer the equator than San Francisco) means mid-80’s to mid 90’s s temperatures depending on the season. It’s proximity to Ixtapa which is a modern resort intentionally developed in the 1970’s, gives it the added advantage of reasonable and convenient flights. In Zihuatanejo you will find coastal Mexican authenticity and hospitality at its most natural and best. It is hard not to be charmed and delighted by the good nature of the people here. At Playa La Ropa, the prettiest beach in the bay, there are loungers to relax in all day, and meals can be eaten on the beach if desired. Parasailers will take you on up for the birds-eye view, and there are ample opportunities to experience professional massages. All while listening to the hypnotic sound of the waves. Swim the bay while the Gannets and Pelicans dive for fish by your side. In the evening you can choose to eat from a splendid array of restaurants along the beach and in town, from $5-50 serving fish caught that day. Truly a paradise!
